Author-formatted versions of Barricelli translation and commentary

I am pleased to announce that author-formatted versions of our English translation of Nils Aall Barricelli’s first publication on his artificial life simulations (Esempi Numerici di Processi di Evoluzione), originally published in Italian in 1954, and our accompanying commentary, are now available to download!

As MIT Press prepares to publish the final versions in the Artificial Life journal, we are making the author-formatted versions available as allowed for in our contract with the journal.

The papers can be downloaded from the following locations:

• Numerical Examples of Evolutionary Processes [English translation of “Esempi Numerici di Processi di Evoluzione” (1954)]

• A Commentary on Nils Aall Barricelli’s “Esempi Numerici di Processi di Evoluzione” (1954)

It looks like the papers will appear in Volume 32, Number 3 of the journal, although that is not yet confirmed. I will post the final publication details when I know them.
