Spatial Structure

The shared space in which the organisms reside is a two-dimensional grid, divided into discrete squares.4.3 Each cell in the population is associated with a particular square at any given time. This environment can be configured to wrap around, or not to wrap around, in each dimension. More information about the environment in which the cells live is given in Section 4.5.
